Hi @all

inside our Cosmos Dragon Project (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=157986) we build a custom enclosure for the Medusa 5.1 Headset Controll Box. We really liked how it turned out, so we thought why not build a mini itx system in that style?

So we came to the point that we will build a custom Mini Itx Case on Base of an Intel Atom Plattform (2x1,6Ghz), a slot in dvd burner and a small 2,5" HDD.

We already started the project yesterday...so here is what we got so far...

Very nice! cool idea. I like the red plexi, it looks like a nice shade of red. Translucent red has a tendency to look pink. Where did you get that?

OOOOOO nice, I soooo wanna get an SSD as an OS drive for LEXA, they just are way to expensive and not reliable enough for me. Over here in Australia the 64GB ones cost around $250-$300AUD. I just brought a Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB for $136AUD lol.

What did you guys use to glue the panels together? just curious. looks sexy as hell!

And I am envious of the SSD, that would be nice to have. bet this thing is pretty quiet lol

isnt that a pico PSU?

Not quite.

I never knew that Cooler Manufactured (or rebranded) those small DC-DC PSUs.

The boy 4rm oz
06-09-2009, 10:32 PM
That's not quite a PICO PSU, it's a completely different design. All that is doing is converting the power into a 20 pin plug, you then need to attach the 20 pin extension cable. The PICO PSUs have the whole process built into the 20 pin plug and they can also power other components directly from the plug, it's a real space saver.

On the last weekend we exhibit the Vibe Project together with our other Projects on the Games Convention Online in Leipzig. The best thing, our Vibe made the 2nd Place on the GCO Modding Masters in the Category Casecons (which means custom builds).
