Second mouse+keyboard for virtual machine?

So I was thinking of setting up a windows xp virtual machine on my main computer (see specs). So I was wondering if it was possible for the virtual windows xp to use a separate mouse, keyboard and monitor and be used at the same time as regular windows?

There's probably a custom KVM switch out there. Check on newegg.
