I just bought a used copy of the Limited Collectors Edition Halo 2 (http://www.amazon.com/Halo-2-Limited-Xbox/dp/B0002A2S26/ref=pd_sim_vg_3)game and I keep getting an error saying DVD Playback is required or something like that? Anyone know whats going on? Is my game disc just fudged? Did I buy a movie or something and thought it was an actual game?

I've always been an N64 and Playstation kind of guy. These confounded Xbox's make no sense to me most of the time, I just have one for GTA and Big Game Hunter. lol

This is pretty annoying though. I got it for game night since my family and some of our friends like to get together and play FPS games occasionally. Perfect Dark and James Bond was starting to get a little old, so I thought I'd bring us into a newer generation of gaming. After all, what better (non-online) FPS is there than Halo? :p

Its missing the actual game disc. I just have the collectors edition disc.

Well, just goes to show you, even when the seller has excellent feedback, you still run the chance of getting boned. I'll have to see what the amazon sellers return policy is, if they even have one.

So lame.

I have the collector's edition without the extra DVD. I got it at gamestop for $7.50 when they were clearing out all of the xbox games with a half off sale.

In order to play DVDs on the old Xbox you need the DVD Dongle. Its in the "DVD Playback Kit"

Sweet! I contacted the seller, they apologized and told me they would look into it and would get back to me asap. That was two days ago. Still haven't received a reply as of yet, but I did receive a full refund notice from Amazon!

In the end, it was a pretty understandable mistake to make. There wasn't any "this is not a game disc" notice labels, so I can understand the confusion. It even took me a bit of research to figure out what was going on!

As the old english proverb goes, "All's well that ends well.", so I left them a positive feedback comment and rating.

Maybe I can track down the game disc somewhere for a good price. Although I could probably just order the entire product again since they sell for only like $15 bucks with shipping included on amazon. ...actually, I might just do that, since I got the money that I originally spent on it back. Good stuff!
