I have a Dell GX270 small form pc and wanted to add video out, so I bought a AGP geforce4 MX440-8X to get a video out.
I installed the drivers, plugged the card in,connected my monitor to the VGA connection but nothing ? I went into the BIOS and swapped the primary video card from integrall to Auto but still nothing ? many thanks

Did I buy the wrong card ? My slot on my motherboard had two slots on it, my card has three sections to it ,it still fits into the slot, but wondering if its the right type the card says x8 and im sure the Dell GX270 is X4 and X8 many thanks

Well there could be numerous causes the fist being the card you tried installing is DOA (dead on arrival). Another would be that the system's power supply is too weak to cope with the extra load (even though the Geforce4 MX440 uses hardly any power compared to the current crop of cards). Or, your motherboard may hate your and/or the video card for some reason (I've had that happen before the two were incompatible, still not sure why)

I had also been having trouble of turning the pc of at the switch , it turned off then back on again, so I removed the video card and the switch wrks fine ! So it seems the video card was a duff !
