As the title to this post suggests, I recently realized how much space my 21" CRT monitor is taking up on my desk, especially parked right next to my 22" LCD and I have some questions. I knew I had seen monitor switches before to run 2 PCs with one monitor, so I dutifully loaded up NewEgg and began browsing.
WOW. I had no idea there was such a range of switches! I see simple-looking cables for 25$ to huge boxes that costs hundreds. After looking and looking I determined I need a solution that will support my widescreen 1600x1050 rez monitor with DVI connections. I don't care about connecting and switching keyboards, I have 6 monitors and 2 keyboards at work, as well as my laptop so juggling all that doesn't bother me. I only need to connect 2 PCs, although supporting a third connection for the future would be nice.
Trying to find good reviews on these things is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Most reviews I find are seldom positive, especially when involving games or video playback and complain of artifacts or low framerates.
Surely someone here can recommend a good switch to look for?
