How to stop icons moving around on desktop ?

I have a touch screen and made some large buttons with iconx i put the icons in nice straight lines on my desktop, I have clicked the align to grid and turned of then back on again and all the icons were messed up ?

Install Icon Restore (http://download.cnet.com/Icon-Restore/3000-2072_4-10163499.html?tag=mncol). It restores your icon positions when they're altered
