Would I ever want a robot as a pet?
Answer: Yes, yes and **** yes!
I wonder how much one of those dudes would cost? It HAS to be up there...

"My brain does not have a response to that" - lol
I would definitely want one of these, the thing is very cool. What would be groundbreaking is the ability for Loki to learn.

A robotic companion would be awesome. I wonder if I'll see real androids or whatever during my lifetime... it would be pretty sweet.
It's nice to see that progress is being made. :D

Hahaha, I forgot about Asimo... haven't really read much of anything on it either. I probably should.

I see Asimo more like a Beta model, Loki being more like an Alpha.
So to kind of go off of Ryokens question...
I wonder if I'll get to see something more like a "final release" android in my lifetime, preferably before I become old and wrinkly. Something that is difficult to tell apart from an actual human.

Loki can't climb stairs or dance. For all I know there's another guy in the room with a remote making Loki move

Yep, thats basically right. Loki is programmed to respond in certain ways to certain key phrases. He's also missing an arm and two legs, etc etc. Thats why I called him a Alpha model, where as Asimo is more like a Beta.
I guess what I want to see is "RC" and if I'm lucky, "Gold".
