Pirates of the Burning Sea is a great game. 5 bucks with free shipping w/30 days sounds like a great deal to me!

It looks like the deals are gone now...

EDIT: ...although the Orange Box for $28 doesn't seem too bad.

10 bucks on Steam this weekend, but you knew that already.

Cons: BEWARE! You can't play this game until you buy a $15 monthly subscription. You cannot even launch the game until they have your credit card number!
You can't even play for a demo period without activating the subscription like World of Warcraft or most other online games let you.
I cannot believe SONY does something like this. It is not even worth returning the game, shipping is probably more than what I paid for the game itself.
BEWARE.

I don't remember wow letting you play the 30 days free without having either a game card or a credit card. I went through 4 accounts between my boxing accounts and the fiance's and they all needed to have some sort of other subscription to get the free 30 days.

It's the way MMO's always have been as far as I remember, and I've been through my share.

The 30 days isn't the free trial like wow offers, which doesn't come as the 30 days with sub that they give you in retail box. Those are two completely different things. Every MMO i've played including wow needs a sub to get that first 30 days. Unless Wow changed things recently.

Either way it was a cool game. Got it for the fiance and she liked it, but Sony's loader/checker got to her. I was used to it from EQ and EQ2, but having to sit forever through patches and checks on every bootup was too sucky for her.
