I was given a 1987 Honda TRX 125 4 wheeler today. It is tiny, almost pocket bike size compared to the quads I have owned in the past. It is in very rough shape. I am going to need to pick up a chain, carb rebuild kit, and some tires to get it back to running. This is the first 4 wheeler I ever rode way back in 1990. It was one my neighbor bought his kids and we all wound up playing with it. Over the years we put a lot of miles on it. Well now the plastic is all busted up and not available new anywhere so I am thinking of making it naked and maybe stunting on it. Stuff like stand up wheelies, 1 wheel circles, etc. We will see. I will take a pic of it tomorrow and upload it. But this is what it used to look like.

Right on! I'm a huge fan of these old Hondas.. I'm still looking to find myself an ATC-350 racing trike.. I love those things! My grandfather had 4 ATC's over the years.. 70cc (mini), a 125, a 200 Big Red, and a 250 Big Red. It was always a highlight of our visits to them for us (my family) to all pile onto the bikes and into the trailers, and go out trail riding around the farm. :D

This is what I'm looking for:

I wished I could find the plastic for it. There is one for sale at a junk yard in houston TX. I sent them an email asking if they will sell the plastic off the bike since it has no engine. Maybe they will.

On another note parts for this thing is cheap. Looks like a new chain and sprocket set, wheel bearings, carb kit, and tires are going to cost me less than $150 total. Maybe cheaper because I may have tires out at my mothers that will fit it. I was going to build a 4 engine go kart for my senior project in high school and bought the tires and axles but met a chick before I could start the build. Gotta check when I go over there this weekend.

I understand about the nostalgia these old bikes bring. When he told me I could have it, my mind went straight back to all the hours we spent on that thing.

You may already know this but there is a company called Maier that makes aftermarket plastics for almost all the ATV's.

Check them out .. they might have what you need or something you can modify to make it look even cooler.

I should have thought about them. I bought some plastic from them back in the day for my 87 Kawasaki Tecate 4 after a nasty roll that broke the brittle plastic. Thanks Boss!
