Advice on Getting Sponsorships

Hi guys, I'm planning to make a PC from scratch. Planning is in the stage of putting pencil to a blank piece of paper. Not sure what I want from this PC yet, whether it's for a media centre, or gaming (preferably half decent at both).

I'm a bit short on cash, and I was hoping to look for some sponsorships. (I start my work experiece in a local PC shop, so I will work as hard as I can, then ask for a sponsorship ;)).

Anyone got any advice for me to get sponsorship from the likes of AMD/ATI?

Ok, looks like I will need to turn to the store I'm doing my work experience at, because I dont really go to big LAN parties. I will have a look and see if there are any going on around me too, as I am interested in going to a larger one. I guess I could build this project for easy transport to LANs.
