If you read her postings about it she did state that it got so hot during testing that she had to hold it with welding gloves.

The engineer in me wants to tell her to cut the shaft off right below the motor and thread a derlin or ptfe spacer that would eliminate the heat transfer down to the business end.

Either way I give her an A for effort and an A+ for the courage to build it.
