I disabled the Ctrl+Alt+Del, but is there a way to bypass it entirely? so it'll boot up like XP Home does? we dont use a PW anyways at work, but its annoying to have to go back to the comp and hit enter in the morning to get past it

Control Panel - Users
Isnt there an option here to "use logon screen" or something like that?

I'm on a home machine, so I'm not 100% sure.. coming from memory here. .

Hmm.. what about an option to assume a particular user is always logged in to the computer? I'm sure I've seen something like this in Pro!

I'll have to play with it more later, I cant see anything that jumps out at me right now

Most of my copies do that when there's only one user. I don't know where the setting to assume that one particular user is logged in is in xp.

I remember doing it with XP home on my computer, when I installed SP3 it made the logon screen appear, but I did whats been said, just check disable logon, and all was good. no go for Pro though. maybe its because theres more than one user set up. but we only use one lol

I have two users on home, but automatically sign in to one. but again, there was a checkbox under users. I am on Pro right now, and I don't see it anywhere either.

Too bad I hadn't seen this earlier as I've had that link bookmarked for a long long time, ever since I had wanted a password/login but wanted it to be able to remotely call a reboot and then auto login and restart the server apps for a game server I was working on.

Glad someone found it for you!
