Ok so here is my problem i unplugged a fan from my motherboard while the pc was turned on i was at Bios playing with the fan speed monitors. When i unplugged it i put my finger ontop of the graphics card and just pulled the fan plug up since it was right next the the graphics card i could not get my hand in (This was a really stupid thing to do i know :dead: But im lazy) as soon as the fan plug came out it started to emit a constant very loud beep. Now when i turn it on i get a constant beep as soon as i press the power button. If i take the graphics card out it works fine, if i use a different graphics card it works fine, i have tried my graphics card in both pci-e slots and the same thing happens. I have also tried with the fan i unplugged in and out to no avail. Do you think i have killed my graphics card or have i done something to the bios? does anyone have any ideas on how i can fix it.

The motherboard is an Asus p5b delux and the graphics card a geforce 8800 gts 512 (g92)

Thanks for any help!

Joe.

you may have shorted the card and fried it. if it works fine with no card or a different card, I'd bet thats it

I would try to plug the power for the GPU back in.

The Power is all plugged in including the wire stright from the psu to the graphics card.

If that is the case, then I would suspect your GPU is toast.

It's either the vid card or the CPU. Could even be the mobo.
