OMG I can not win for loosing....

So I have a date tomorrow night with a pretty good looking girl (pic at the bottom of this post) so I decide to cut my hair. So I pull out the clippers, oil the blades, and put on the #3 guard. I make 1 pass down the middle of my head and then the buzzing stops.. So I am like :ovoh: and then :beek:. So I check the outlet to see if it tripped. Nope. So I turn the little screw thing to adjust the motor. Still nothing. Now I am like :no::no::no:. The darn clippers wont work. A sniff test reviles the smell of burnt electronics. So I throw on a hat and head to wally world. They are out of the cheepys so I just come home and decide to do some research on the other brands they have so I don't spend $30-$40 on another POS.

So tonight I am rocking the reverse mohawk. (not going to get a pic so don't ask lol) My date is tomorrow at 6. Were going to a baseball game and then to a bar to shoot some pool and throw some darts while consuming fermented barley and hops. I hope I can find a decent set of clippers tonight and buy them tomorrow. If not I may just have to break down and spend the $20 on a real hair cut.

So for those of you who cut your own hair what clippers do you use?

Anyways, we have Oster clippers, haven't had a problem yet. That's the brand my mom use on her horses as well.

I don't own any clippers, I just have my friends cut my hair. Its usually... pretty... interesting... probably shouldn't let them do that anymore now that I think about it. Meh, free is free. lol

Honestly it is about the clippers. I have OCD when it comes to my appearance. I'm the guy who gels his hair until its hard as a rock, always wears polo's and khakis pants. This hair thing is killing me even though I am in my own home where no one can see me.

I just went and bought a $30 whal pair. They cut my hair like it was butter. I did not even have to adjust them before hand. I bought them because they have a 1 year warranty and the blades can be purchased at the local beauty supply shop. So my hair is back to 3/8" long with tapered sides. Now all I have to do is be myself tonight and maybe I will get a second date.

Well the date went well. We went to a baseball game and then to a local coffee shop and just talked for about a hour and a half. Scored a second date and a kiss. So I guess my loosing streak is over. :D

On another note I got an email from my hosting service telling me that they have added 5 more mySQL databases to my account and reduced my montly hosting fee by $1.50. This came after an email I sent to them explaining that I was going to be leaving next month because of their lack of databases and higher fees than the competition. So I am installing Joomla now and hopefully I can figure this CMS thing out and get my site back to where I want it.

Yes but in a place where she knows it is. I just started dating this girl. It might be a little weird if I say "oh btw I posted several photos of you , one in a bikini on a message board to brag to a bunch of guys I have never met." Yea thats the trick to scoring a second date.
