Awesome dude, where'd you go? Geocaching is actually a big thing.

I have no idea of the name of the place but it was in the middle of nowhere. It was a small turn off that went back about 4miles on pavement then another 7 on dirt through the twisty-turnies.

I know Geocaching is a huge thing but what are the odds of finding a geocache by stepping on the corner and almost breaking your ankle? lol

EDIT: I'm curious to what kind of ant it was. Maybe I discovered a new species! :oP take a look at the short thick antennae and the funky spider-like legs. Closest I've found so far is the "Carpenter Ant."

Ha, I almost didn't see those toads there for a second.

"Hey look, a couple rocks... wait a minute... did that one just ribbit at me??"

That ant is definitely a freaky looking breed. You'll have to look up your local species dictionary or whatever those insect index mahjiggers are called.

Glad to see someone had the common courtesy to block that old mine shaft. Those things are freaking dangerous. Although sometimes I wish they would set the blockages back as far as possible without adding any risk. I just want to walk for a minute or two, not see a grate blocking my way right at the entrance. So disappointing. lol

Rule 84: Always bring your remote controlled exploration sentry device with you wherever you go. You just might need it to, you know, do some explorin' and stuff. :p

The ant was 3/4 of an inch long and in San Diego CA if anyone is interested in researching. I'll try and find it because it will bug me otherwise. :oP
