No idea. I hate how it does that too.

Open the window, maximize it, then close it. See if that does the trick. Usually does for me with Chrome.

But IE is weird and won't do that.

create a new shortcut for ie, and in the properties set the window state to maximised

That will work, unless he's talking about new windows that open from an existing one.

Are you talking about "kiosk mode" size, press F11 will put it into "kiosk mode" full screen. It also works with Firefox.

Ah I see now. IE will remember if your state for one window, opening and closing it, but right clicking "open new window" will not be full screen. Why not just use tabs? (heck, why are you even using IE?)

Hi I made shortcuts to all my favorite websites and saved them all on my desktop as shortcut icons, then used iconx to make them bigger etc. If i click one of the icons to say Google...it opens up internet explorer but its only a small window and you have to click maximumize to get it to fill the full screen?
I made another shortcut icon and could not find the where in the properties you can change the window size to maximum ?

It will say Run: and then, next to that, there's a drop down box. I had to look it over for a while to find that.

Right click the icon on the desktop, then click properties. But it will only open in full screen if you open it from that shortcut on the desktop when you change the properties.

In general, it doesn't say "Run:" anywhere?

Hi in the general tab there seems to be nothing about the size of the actual window it opens to ?
