I'm looking for someone to build a basic site for me that basically just lists resources related to job hunting.

Links to Monster, Craigslist, union tribune, etc...

On top of that, I would like guidance in setting it up with ads, ebay and amazon commission, google adsense, and anything else.

I would also like to subtly advertise my other domains for sale.

I could do it, but it will cost a little bit, since it does take time to do it right.

If you'd be willing to make a free mockup, I'd be happy to talk.

Hey buzz, not to hijack Vital or anything but what you want to do can easily be done with Joomla or Drupal and Sgt can walk you through the Joomla thing. Probably wouldn't take 4 hours total to build that site. Joomla and drupal have advertising modules that will make google adverts and other big advert companies add content easy to get on your site.

You could also use Phpnuke. Another great content
management system.

www.phpnuke.com
or
http://www.phpnuke-clan.net/index.php

Most decent hosting sites has Cpanel that you
can use to install either one automatically. It will even email
you when the install has finished.
Once installed, it would be rather easy for someone around here
to help you personalize it.

I've been setting money aside to have someone set up the site. I made a quick layout of how I wanted the site to look. It's just a basic example, by no means do I actually want it to look like this (lol) :

*I took down the picture because it's a terrible design idea*

I should leave the layout to the web designers.

I can make it for you, for like 15 bucks max. I usually do sites for a lot more, but your a fellow TBCS member. So send me a PM if you're interested.

I believe Vital is in the process of making a simple layout but everything is still in the air. I'm looking for a basic, eye friendly site with a list of banners for each link. Nothing fancy.

Yep working on it. I should have it done by Friday? Is that alright with you?

Sounds good to me. Could you include:

<a href="http://www.mathtutordvd.com/index.cfm?affID=MathDVD"> <img align=top src="http://www.mathtutordvd.com/public/affiliate/images/4.jpg" width="100" height="100" alt="click me"></a> somewhere on the side, but away from the ads so it gets a little attention.

Looking forward to getting the site up. :)

You have to sign up for the ads, etc. I will leave room on the site though for them.

Have you made the mock up? I haven't heard anything so just wondering.
