So, I'll be getting $1500 for my Cuda mod in CPU mag and I've been wondering what to do with it. What would you do with it?
Oh, and I did make a decision.

Oh bugger! Forgot to answer the question. I'd use the $1500 partially to go see someone in Sydney (Sorry Simon, not you!) and also put it into my "I'm a student, get me out of here" fund.

I would hire me to come photograph you and Cuda side by side. You would be in the "deep thinker" position with your leg up on cuda, your arm bent at the elbow and resting on your knee. Your chin would rest on a loosely closed fist while you stared into space at a 30 degree angle with your head slightly turned to the side and cocked to the left. I would light you with 4 lights. 1 Key 2 fill, 1 hair and a background light with a 1" grid. The main light would have a 36" octo soft box, the left fill would have a 42x48 slim soft box, the right fill would be bounced off of a white reflector. I would shoot you from a low angle paying close attention to the rule of thirds. Post processing would maybe yeild a sepia tone or maybe a selective color with Cuda's colors standing out. I might add some vignetting around the edges for that "deep in thought" feel. Of course with the thought that I put into this my fee would be no less than $1300 and a beer. You would how ever leave the shoot knowing that you were photographed by one of the true modern greats, Mr. Charles J Gantt.
Nah I would take $100 and spend it at a strip club on vip with the hottest chick in the room. The rest would go towards a new trans for my camaro.

The first thing that pops into my head is a PaintBall gun but then I think about my trip to New Zealand next year so I would have to save it, then I remember that I am at uni and am not allowed to have money cos the Government take it all for my Uni fees lol.

nah. its what ays the bills man. the tranny keeps breaking because of the hp the camaro has. It only sees the track anyway.

I'd stick it right into my savings cuz I'm so poor! If I had some money though, I would build my dream couch with three built in 8" woofers, bass shakers, transducers and a 21" sub in the back. I'd still have $500 left over, and I'm not sure what I would do with it. I know. I'll build you a couch for $1500.
Maybe I would build a really cool liquid cooled PC. That would be nice. I want money to do exotic mods.

do another mod so you can win the 1500 bucks again?

If it were me I'd look at it from a few different angles.
1) I came into this money from winning it... therefor it's expendable and I'm gunna have fun with it.
or
2) Sweet, a bonus check! I'm gunna get ahead on bills/send in a larger car payment, etc.
3) Spread the wealth. Buy your girl something she's been wanting but isn't a high enough priority for her to buy. Purses, wallets, shoes, an ereader, sunglasses, a body bug, etc... Buy yourself a gift of equal non-importance but something you've been dreaming about... then family if you wish. Bank or invest the rest.
4) Invest. Cross your fingers that silver drops back down to the 11-12 dollar range. Unfortunately it's in the 14's atm. Or invest in palladium. It's a more stable metal and is nearly at an all time low for the past 30 years. It's had some big spikes which we're about due for so you could cash in fairly soon.
A vasectomy isn't that bad. I had one almost 5 years ago, free from the VA. You should look into that, and spend the $1500 on something else. It's the non-reversible type.

In reality: Towards a deposit on a home.
In a world where I could spend it on computer stuff: I would build a computer for my dad in an art deco radio case, and upgrade my Antec 1200 rig to a watercooled SLI Q6600. I'd also put my HD4850 in the Tetris case and finish off the mod.

Zapped by an X-Ray for 30 seconds? lol
I'd probably end up buying a bunch of various guitar stuff along with a reasonable set of drums (I honestly have no idea how much they go for though... seeing as how I won't have any for at least two years I'm not too worried about it though).

I second this one.. something for the wife, something for the family, something for you, bank the rest. :D

bills for me, unfortunately. the sad thing is it wouldnt cover very much of my current debt. (dang stupid student loans anyways)
if I could blow it, I would build a new desktop and turn my current rig into a Htpc :D
or, throw a v8 and lift kit on the bravada.
or, buy a new guitar amp. or a bass amp more likely, my little practice amp isn't big enough for a bass guitar.

I would put it towards the money I'm going to be using to develop a non-combustion propulsion system. Yes, I think that freaky!
One of my favorite propulsion systems: http://emdrive.com/

With 1500 dollars I could get an FP Red turbo for my car. Or I would just get a wicked tattoo to further my sleeve.

I'd donate $1-1.2k to someone and go to dinner with Trent Reznor and get a very memorable experience. Details in the nin.com store.

buy a van, spraypaint my band's logo on the side, and use the remaining $700 or so to pay to rent out the cheapest venues we can find across the western seaboard, then ROAD TRIP
