Custom Vista boot screen?

I know it can be done but I have a vista 64bit and the free program to do it doesnt work with it only 32bit vista what I want to do is change the start loading screen and get ride of that anoying blue circle that apears when you log on as well anyone know what program can do this or what editing to files I have to do?

Start, Run, msconfig.. turn off GUI boot. You'll speed up the boot time too.
