Use promo code: LCD05HSG and you will get an additional $20 off. 1920x1200. I use this monitor and love it. It's the best bargain large format display you can get. Not the highest image quality, but really spectacular for the money.

I thought about buying this lcd when i was in the market for a new one, but read too many reviews of how terrible it is. Insane number of dead pixels, noone ive heard has had one working for longer than 6 months. So, i got a samsung t260 instead.
But if you want 28 inches, and dont have too much concern for quality, and dont mind the risk of sending a 30 pounds roughly(packaged) monitor back for RMA, then its a steal at that price.

That's the resolution I run with my 17" lol. I think it'd drive me insane on a 28"

You must have a fairly expensive/nice 17". My 22" is 1680*1050.

It's a lappy.
I'm with Buzz though, it's a good price, but I'm personally more interested in higher-res+smaller-screen-size. I have this fantasy monitor-conglomerate composed of four 15.4" WUXGA laptop panels, driven by DVI-to-LVDS converter boards, but it would cost something like $2000 (last I checked), so probably not something I'll ever make :(

I got mine with no dead pixels. I know some people have had issues, but I think we're looking at the outspoken minority in that case. I've had mine for six months and I've moved twice in that time. It's still running fine.
I know that smaller screens with the same resolution means that there are more pixels per inch, but you can get a 22" 1080P TV or a 70" 1080P TV. I think I would rather have the 70". The image looks the same as it does on a smaller screen. There's no pixelation because it's bigger, the resolution is the same. That's what matters. That said, I would love a nice 1920x1200 15" laptop.

Well, technically pixelation would eventually arise because as the screen gets larger so do the pixels, but I don't know how large the screen would have to be for pixelation to be visible at 1080p/WUXGA :p
As for the WUXGA 15" laptop, I know the Lenovo Thinkpad W500 and the Dell Latitude E6500 and Precision M4400 all can be configured with WUXGA panels.

I'm a fan of the Alienware 15". I just don't have the money.

I can tell the difference between being 1-2 ft away from my 22" 1680*1050 monitor and being 1-2 ft away from my dad's 50" 1080p tv. its a little clearer (albeit slightly) on the 22" but from 10-15' away, the 50" blows the 22" out of the water. It is all about how far away you are from the monitor/tv :D
