I never realized how big they were. It is bigger than it looks in the picture. I forgot to bring my camera with me, so this was the best pic that I could get.

lmao
I don't think I'd be willing to climb up into the tallest tree and take a scary looking (more dangerous looking) bird's nest. It's too big to even fit into the car lol

Maybe it's just a pidgin that's movin' on up!

Thats awesome. We have squirrel nest here that look like that.
They're awesome to see in the wild! Keep visiting. You'll get a good shot soon enough.

This was at a busy marina (but way back in the wilderness), so I was somewhat surprised to see it. I spotted it after looking for and finding the cradle for my dad's boat. Here's the approximate location of it in google maps (center of the screen) (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=toledo+beach+marina&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=50.424342,114.257812&ie=UTF8&ll=41.822766,-83.421335&spn=0.002922,0.006974&t=h&z=18). If you go a little to the northeast, you can see the actual marina.

they have poles set up with a flat top along the snake river here for eagles & ospreys and such to make nests on. they usually have big huge nests on them. birds of prey are sweet. Once when we were @ a waterfall during the winter (snowmobiling to remote waterfalls ftw!) there were probably like 5 or 6 bald eagles doing their mating dance (at least thats what it looked like, we aren't orinthologists lol) in the air. pretty amazing stuff watching a bunch of big eagles fighting each other mid air!
