Hi Everyone! I don't believe that anyone here knows this yet, but me and Jon are going on a road trip this summer. He's flying into Glasgow this Wednesday and we're leaving for München (Munich) in Germany via Rotterdam.

Jon was hoping that on-route we could look up some TBCS team members. Here's a basic idea of the route we'll be travelling, so if you're in the area let us know. If we can pitch a tent on your land, that would also be very very useful! :)

Also, the car is full, so sorry if anyone wanted to come along but you won't be able to. XcOM, We won't be able to stop on your route unless you stay near Folkstone, because we're travelling from Folkstone to Glasgow and vice-versa in a one-day drive without any major stops. Sorry about that bro!

I am really having a hard time describing how jealous I am right now.

Have fun and whatever you guys wind up doing over there, do it again for me. :D

Glasgow to Folkstone is a long drive, are you using the M6 toll? I would highly recommend it. Saves time and hassle, and isn't that expensive (http://www.m6toll.co.uk/pricing/default.asp) for a one-off journey.

Yeah, we probably will; I hear it's completely empty. Sweet.

Under stops H, G, and F. ;)

Thanks guys. No-one on that route at all? Disappointing, I was hoping someone would show me and Jon around town and we could all go for a drink. :(

If B was in Canada, I'd happily have you guys over for a barbecue! Beer + bbq + patio = Win.

Beer + bbq + patio = Win

In my experience,

friends + bbq + anywhere = Win. Although add whisky to the mix...now you're cooking with fire! Jon should be on his way here by now, I'll be picking him up tomorrow.

shame man, would have been cool next week, im driving down the M1, then up the M1, then up the M6!

Could have had a little convy going, and your quite a distance from me in sheffield,

though i would alter your route, go down M1, A14, M25 under dartford and down towards dover that way, but i will say i know my way through france without a map now, been that often, will have to do one next year dude thou, give me notice of a few months and i cna arrange it, can even take my car if i can clear it with my lord and master

Very cool. Hope you guys have a great trip.

In August I get to fly out to Arizona and help my cousin pack up his stuff and take turns driving all the way back up to Cape Cod, MA in his little Scion. I've only been down about half the east coast so seeing most of the US should be great.

That will be an awesome trip, and I wish you two the best! Under different circumstances I would be in Metz, France (GT Lorraine) right now and you two could stop off to say hi. Tell me when you come through Georgia, USA, haha!

That's Jon here guys! He's suffering some pretty severe jet-lag but I've just woke him up and I'm taking him out to the city today. To settle the debate, Jon says British bacon is "Pretty Damn Good".

If only you didn't go to war with us, we'd have given you all the tastiest bacon! ;)

man this trip sounds like fun!

Gonna show them how to have fun southern style? I'm in!!

got really really drunk with my ex's grandparents in Arkansas. partying southern style is pretty fun.

the people in Wyoming so far have everyone beat. They don't have anything better to do than drink and drink and drink. at least in Rock Bottom (springs) anyways... I lost more brain cells there than I can even count! (probably due to the dead brain cells :p )

On Topic:
man I am SOOO jealous of the european trip. It is one of my goals to go to Europe for like a year and just live and travel around! (probably won't happen til my son is older though lol)

Alright guys, too late to organise a meet now. It's a shame that we couldn't meet up with any of our members for a night on the town, but it's ok. I'll be seeing you guys in a week or so. :)

I am sad I am missing TBCS European Vacation. Sounds like a lot of fun! Just don't drag anyone behind the car...

What part of the state are you in Trace?

I'm home, safe and sound. I made sure Jon got his flight out, but I haven't heard from him yet. I'm sure he got home just fine though. I'll fill you guys in on the story when I get the time. :)
