Help me pick a domain name....

I was given 2 free domain names from my hosting company this morning for having been a customer of theirs for 3 years and not having 1 late payment. (i pay for 2 years in advance.) So I am wanting to create a personal site where I can document my hacks, mods, and things I have made. I want something with "maker" in it. I was thinking "evilmadmaker.com" but that seems too much like evilmadscientist.com and I don't want people to think I am trying to steal their thunder. So suggest me something.

See that's the thing. I don't do a lot of case mods. But I do a lot of other stuff like in a month I will be starting a RepRap (http://reprap.org) build, the coil gun I built and posted here, I have a diy boradcast dtv antenna in the works that will outperform models costing 10 times what retail models do, stuff like that is what will fill the site. I will have a case mod section but it will see updates every 5-6 months.

Yea but I don't like to step on other peoples toes. They have worked years to build up the evil mad name and I am a frequent visitor there. I actually discovered them almost a year before I discovered hackaday.

I understand your caution, but I wouldn't see it as stepping on any ones toes. They may, but I doubt it. They would probably see it as a compliment. I would. Unless of course you advertised your site as a better EvilMad...

^ Agreed. I think it would be different if you were going for evilmadscientist.ORG NET US or something like that, or even evilmadscientists .. but to me, I don't think I would associate the two by name alone. Themakersworkbench is pretty cool too.
