I built my mother a computer for Christmas last year. Its nothing special, just a AM2+ foxcon board, 2.4ghz athlon x2, geforce 7300 (my old card), 2gb kingston value, $20 dvd burner (may be lighton or samsung I dont remember), and a 500gb hdd.

Well my cousin who is 15 came to visit with my aunt and uncle. Needless to say he thought it was a good idea to theme her xp install with themexp. He also downloaded a lot of crap that is worthless. Anyway she asked me to come over and make it look like it used to. (default xp). I went over there this morning and thought I would have it finished in 5 min and be out. So I uninstalled themexp via add and remove programs. the uninstall went fine. Then I notice her taskbar is kinda dull looking. I change the background from black to the stock beach one. Thats when I realize that the taskbar is transparent. I went through all of the setting I could think of. I know Nvivia Ntune or what ever its called, will make windows and the taskbar transparent. All of those settings were turned off. So I dunno whats doing it. Any ideas?

There's a few programs that can give you transparent taskbars. If you can't get it figured out, you could always do a system restore.

See thats the thing. The taskbar was not transparent until I uninstalled themexp.

try using tweakui, theres options to restore windows defaults to system settings, and re-install the ogional system files that themeing program changes.
