This project is going to be a long1 because it's gonna take some fabrication
alot of moving parts into this one, call it a transformer type, but in the mean time let me show you guys what I'm going to use in the rig...

right now i'm waiting for my second 7800gt a front bezel lcd and some servo motors with extra hardware...
please let me know what you think and what you'll want to see.:p

So what are you planning for the mod? Nice starting gear, but not sure what the focus/target of the mod is. I'm intrigued by the moving parts/transformer thing you hinted ad.

this is just one idea even thought it looks far fetched even for me

but ican't really make up my mind until i get all my parts and get some inspirational ideas so please feel free to give me some ideas...
"remember it's gotta transform and be co dependent of power"
at least for small distances inside the house...:):D

YEP! but the problem is making those tripod legs usable since there's only three.

Do you really have any idea the amount of time, money, and the engineering skill needed to make that work?

A noble effort. I'll watch just to see what happens.

One suggestion: Give it beefy legs. Very beefy... You could make them bend via a hinge and linear acuator on each leg. Lots of fab work.

i was following it pretty good until it got to your diagram lol :p but the ideas you are presenting sound very interesting.. can't wait to see what you come up with! :D

Having three legs isn't going to be a problem, as long as they are about 120 degrees apart it should be very stable.... your main problem is it could be easy to knock over. Also try not to put too much strain on the legs. So watch your weight!
