I was building an order on McMaster Carr of materials and hardware to build my RepRap. When I was filling out the account info I accidentally chose Open Account instead of credit card for payment type. It says my order will ship before 2pm est today. I have sent 3 emails requesting the order to be canceled and have called the number at least 25 times and either get disconnected or a busy signal. The only info I can find is open accounts are net 30 meaning payment is due within 30 days. This is no problem but I did not get a shipping estimate, quote or anything stating how much shipping was. So I am worried about getting a $50 - $300 shipping bill if they decide to ship freight instead of UPS because of the 8 foot threaded rod I ordered. (I had ground shipping selected)

I order from them quite a bit, but have never needed to contact them. Sorry. :(

Did you call the Jersey CS? Have you tried one of the others?

Well I never got an email back and the order has shipped so I guess I will just eat the extra expense if there is any and chalk it up to lesson learned.

well if the shipping is unreasonable then I will refuse delivery.

Just got the tracking numbers. It shipped fedex. Still no answer on the price of the shipping though. That's just bad business IMO.

And less than 24 hours from time of order placement the packages are out for delivery. The shipping was FedEx standard ground shipping. It just got here so fast because McMaster has a warehouse less than 3 hours from me. Still have no idea what the shipping cost me but I expect its going to be pricey because 1 box weighs in at 15lbs and the other 2 at 5lb each. So if you are ordering something from McMaster-Carr only click that submit button if you are 100% sure you want your order because there is no verification process, no conformation process, or any other warning.

Every time I've ordered from them, the total it says when I checkout is what gets charged to the credit card, so I think they include shipping in the price of the items.

I finally got an email back from them. It was an invoice. Shipping was $31.45 for a grand total of $129.58
