Hey, I am planning on a new mod that requires a large portion to be custom made. Here is my sketch up of one area of it.

As you can see it will be a triangle and all the corners will be flat. And in the middle of each of the sides... well you can see in the picture I suppose lol.
Anyways, I was wondering what material do you recommend I use for it? I was thinking aluminum but I wasn't sure where I could get sheets. I was also thinking plexi or some other kind of plastic. What do you think? Thanks

Does it need to be hollow (Besides the opening in the top)?

Only in the middle as that is where the yellow cylinder will be. (Trying to be cryptic as I don't want to unveil my theme just yet ;)) What did you have in mind?

Have you thought about sculpting it in foam, and fiber glassing it? You may not be able to get the tight edges with it though.

I've seen people on here do some amazing and similar things with craft wood/ply wood. There's a Hellghast PC somewhere that looks like it has similar lines.

There it is. Sorry if it's on this forum somwhere, but that's the first link i turned up on google.
(I think i know what the theme is, but I'll wait till you reveal it. That's a nice rendering of a 3-letter-acronym-crystal that i've seen somewhere... :glasses:)

Haha, you know exactly what the theme is :D
And thanks for the link, that actually looks like it would work quite well.

Hmm, I really need the edges to be nice and clean. Thanks for the help though

I guess that all depends on what you material you plan to use for the frame.
Personally, I think it would look best aluminum, or brushed stainless.
Would like to see the rest of your design. Looks Interesting.
