Sweet. I wonder if they'll have it for PC as well.

Interesting. I'd like to see that come to PC, but it probably won't. Not for a while, at least.

Seems interesting. Not sure I would enjoy holding my hands in the air for an entire racing session. At least a wheel is something physical, holding your arms in the air would be one hell of a calisthenics session.
Also how can Spielberg say it was "the most tactile experience [...]"? Being tactile involves touch and this was quite the opposite; the whole point is to not have to touch anything. Tactile would be like using a novint falcon with the pistol grip and one of those body vests, or something. That would be more tactile than moving around in the air and touching nothing.
Interesting, but when I am tired and want to play a game I want to relax. I don't want to hold my arms up and slide my feet around. I've got a wheel if I want to pretend with that, which actually gives some kind of feedback, unlike air. And I've got a controller if I want to relax. Don't want to flail about. Interesting, but unless some game really only works with it, and just fails with other controllers/designs, I doubt I would be using it for any purpose other than novelty.

That's what I was thinking. I can't play Mario Kart Wii with the wheel that they provide, for that reason.

I don't see this becoming a gaming device/add-on and I hope they see that. Sure, maybe somewhat in a Wii kind of way, but not serious gaming. The controllers we have now work perfectly for serious gaming. But I think it has potential in other areas. Like that Mylo or whatever it was called with the interactive kid? It would be cool if it could help you study or something like that. Give me a Tachikoma model and I'll be sold! They could slowly build on the program little by little, especially if they use user feedback, and create an impressive artificial AI. Thats KIND of like learning in a way. It doesn't know how to do something but you can program it piece by piece as those situations arise, it'll just become more and more complex and be capable of doing complex things.

The whole thing is basically a more advanced Eye Toy. Cool, though.

Yea its unfortunate that Sony didn't realize the potential of their product. Microsoft did though, and they acted on it. We'll see how it pays off I guess.
I wonder what Sony is thinking right now? It would be like being Nintendo and creating the Gameboy, then Color, then Advanced and then some other company comes in and creates the DSi. lol

I think its a cool idea, a wii-killer? I dont really think so. but If its cheap and they do make some decent games for it, I would probably buy it just for the fun of it.

Well, like it mentions in the article, Microsoft is trying to appeal to all levels of players. My family has a Wii and we have fun with that, but this sounds more appealing. Imagine playing a game of COD where you're actually the soldier on the field or you're the pilot of your own fighter aircraft. My son and I would have a blast!
Sure you're not holding onto anything, but at least the gameplay will help you get exercise while you beat the crap out of your opponent. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes...

could you imagine if they could get the sensory accurate enough to use a replica plastic firearm's iron sites? Where you actually aim to shoot? That would be amazing. Only problem with that is the smaller the screen the easier it is.
