i HATE the new msn messenger. I cant really tell you why either, just seems less user friendly.

pcclan, my advice is to uninstall MSN, Live, and Live essentials unless you absolutely need it. If you just use messenger, then I'd suggest using Digsby (http://www.digsby.com/?utm_campaign=new_w&utm_content=new&utm_medium=new&utm_source=new) or Trillian (http://download.cnet.com/Trillian/3000-2150_4-10047473.html?part=dl-trillian&subj=dl&tag=button) for your MSN chats.

I like trillian, I used to use it all the time :) +1 for using trillian instead of the new crappy live messenger.

I'm using WLM9 with WLMP with no issues at all. Don't see the big fuss.

Just the usual gripe that its another (potentially) annoying and highly unnecessary program from M$. I get really peeved when my Add/Remove Programs list becomes too bloated with stuff I don't use, so the fact that Essentials created four different items in that list turned me off immediately.
