window tinting question

so i came across a snag on my mod (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1862). I tried tinting the plexiglass with window tint. I worked out all the bubbles and everything but after a little while, bubbles started to appear again. I read online afterwards that plexi releases gas and that tinting it isn't a good idea. doh:mad:!!! Now i was wondering if spray tinting will give it the effect that i want and if so, where can i get some? If all else fails, i need to find some tinted lexan or plexi glass somewhere... yeesh:( .

are you using the ole walmart tint stuff from automotive? might not be adhesive enough or the plexi had some type of film on it that caused the bubbles? id clean it off and try a small test section. after that id look into tinted stuff, depending on color it might be worth it to go with that vs trying to apply something that might not yield good results.

you could also try asking a local tinting shop for this. they may know of a method to use to make the bubbles stop forming.
