Hey all,

I want to get a case, such as the size of this:

http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0286983

It says Matx mobo's, but in reality can I mod it to fit this:

Or is that just the stupidest thing anyone as ever heard. If it won't fit can someone find a similar case just a bit bigger that it will fit?

Have a look at the back of the case, you'll see the mobo is layed flat, and the side is about flush with where an mATX board ends (on both the top edge and PCI slots bottom). You'd have to cut a whole in the side to make it fit, and then you'd have motherboard hanging out the side of the case.

You'd also probably lose the sliding motherboard tray that thing probably has (I've got a similar one) unless you cut out the corner, which would probably make it a bit flimsy.

If you want to, go ahead, you could probably make an 'extension' to fit a full size mobo and full height PCI cards...
Hell, I might do that now XD

You'd just need to bend some sheet alumimum/tin plate around it. Could even go a Sci-Fi spaceship theme with other 'extensions' sticking out, like a hotswappable hard drive on top.

mATX is MicroATX. There is no way to mount that motherboard in that case.

No way you will fit a fullATX board into that case without so much modding it won't be that case any more. Finding cases in that style that will fit that large board is going to be hard to say the least.

If you can't buy it... build it!
