I'm thinking TGS doesn't use instant messenger much :P

I have been meaning to try Astra.. I have been using Trillian since the 1.0 days. I guess now is as good a time as any!

Thanks!

Windows Live Messenger - If you use anything else, well, then I'm probably not talking to you. lol

If only they would release a 3rd party AIM app like this trilian version. AIM sucks ass but everyone I know uses it.

So does this just combine all the messengers into one or something?

AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN, I think.

Pidgin has a ton more, though, and I guess Digsby has support for even more than Pidgin does.

Yep.

AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN, I think.

This is the Trillian Astra version (basically 4.0). It now supports:
Windows Live Messenger
AIM
Yahoo!
Google Talk
Bonjour
ICQ
Skype
MySpace IM
IRC
Jabber/XMPP
Facebook
Twitter
as well as mail support for:
Gmail
Yahoo! Mail
Windows Live! Mail
AIM Mail
POP3
IMAP

Plus there are other plugins available for other services as well.

I have tried almost all of the different multi messenger platforms, and seem to alway migrate back to Trillian. Probably because it what I am used to. I dunno if really any of them are "better" then another just different.. yet the same. :D

Never. I'm never ever going back to Windows Live Messenger. It's such a slow, ad-infested, resource hog. This though... this is awesome. I don't think I've ever been excited over a messenger before! lol

After my 30-day trial, so long as it's not outrageously priced, I'm so totally buying this! This is x10 better than WLM will ever hope to be. It's so snappy and responsive and it doesn't hardly use any resources, all the while being so much better looking and laid out with many more customization features than WLM. Usually a messenger alternative is sub-par with the real deal but for whatever reason you have to use it, but this isn't even on par with WLM, it's way better.

(I'm using the Halloween theme right now, very nice and festive! haha)

Question: Is it possible to send text messages via Trillian Astra? I do that a lot with Windows Live Messenger. I just realized that none of my phone number contacts are showing up in my contacts list. T_T So close... there is always a catch I suppose. lol
