Went out tonight for the first time in about 3 months. Normally I would spend a Friday night with the girl, but shes at the beach this weekend. So I called up a few friends and went to a local bar to shoot some pool.

I left them there about 30 min ago so I could get home in time to watch the Jimmy Fallon Show. The guys from Maker Bot Industries (http://www.makerbot.com) are going to be on it attempting to break a world record at automated printing of cupcakes. The cupcake cnc made my makerbot is a 3d printer with the same electronics I am using for my 3d printer. They invented a frosting extruder for it so they could also frost cupcakes with it.

Considering he left a bar full of friends to go home and watch it, yes, he is a geek. If he had forced the bartender to change the TV to Jimmy Fallon or risk being assaulted with throwing stars fashioned out of old RAM, then we would have had an intervention...

meh it was just me and 2 friends. they were both well on their way to getting alcohol poisoning by the time I left (completely sober I might add..... only because the beer tasted well past its fresh date) I was winning every game we played and it was just not fun anymore. Besides it was kinda cool watching a project I had been following since the beginning debut on national tv.

Dude. Do you know what website you are on? Being a total geek is practically mandatory here. It just goes without saying. lol

Did they break that world record or are they still working on it?

Yea they got the world record for "Fastest time icing a cupcake with a robot" The world record issuing company seemed pretty cool. They will let you submit your own world record as long as you take a video of it and email it to them. Camron Diaz got one last night also for "Most bunnies cuddled with while in a hammock" and Jimmy Fallon now holds the world record for "Most mustache's drawn on with a marker in 30 seconds"

I will find the website and make a new post about it.
