hey all!

im going to start my first mod very soon, and i have a question!

first off, im putting in a 12x12 window, and 2 12" blue cold cathodes....

my computer is near my bed, and i dont need a nightlite :P

im not big into circuits, but could i go to autozone/radioshack and get a rocker switch, and just wire it between ONE of the CC's and the PSU, or would i need a transistor or something.....

2nd question, could i wire both CC's into one switch?

thanx,
clay

Most CCFL kits come with switches just for that reason.

I used a RS toggle switch for my lights. Drilled a little hole in a PCI slot cover and put a couple in there (on for fans one for lights...) I just put the switch on the +12V side feeding the inverter.

I'll see about getting some pics up of that.

thanks for your answers!

and yes, i beleive this one does come with a switch wired into the duals!

my plan is to drill a hole ontop of the case, just big enough for the switch to snug into, and maybe mount it on there somehow.....

Yeah like what they said most come with a switch in the kit. But you might want to pick up a switch still and make the case look cooler. I personaly like the mnpctech fighter pilot switchs. But there are a whole bunch of them these days.

Fiend,

check out the BLUE LEADER (http://thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?p=19608#post19608) Thread in Project Gallieries. There is a pic (allittle fuzzy) of my Switchs for fans and CC. The switches that come with most CC are kinda big, but may work well with your mod, I like the smaller toggles cause I can put them out of the way. At lans and shows people love hitting buttons and switches  , so I hide them!!!:D
