Single slot card?

my friend wants to upgrade his dell dimension e521, and with the new sound card, network card, and tv tuner there is only room for a one slot gpu
what would be a good sub 100 1 slot card, preferably with above 512 mb of vram?

I had two of these running in Crossfire and loved them. My brother has a single card running and is very happy with it. Only drawback I found was the noise, the stock cooling is loud.
