I know this isn't the best place for this, but it will actually get some views and feedback in here.

I have currently set the BIOS vCore to the lowest possible: 1.100
Cpu-Z reports this as 1.080 at idle and 1.056 under 100% load.

I set my FSB to 200 and my multiplier to auto with C1E enabled. When Idle my current speed is at 1200Mhz and under load it bumps up to 1800MHz.

I want to see the fastest speed I can achieve at that vCore to keep heat down and still be stable.

I will post pictures and updates soon as I continue to tinker.

The VID on my chip is unfortunately 1.325.

I now have achieved 2.16Ghz with the same vCore settings and I am now testing for stability.

EDIT:

Just got it back to stock speed with a much lower vCore.

I'd say this is undervolting, not really underclocking anymore ;)

You could underclock it as well, to help with stability at lower voltage. That will also help generate less heat, and thereby extend the life of the CPU. Keep all the components cooler, and the whole system will last longer. :D

I figure with the lower vCore it will help with my overloaded watercooling system

There's some great undervolting software out there where you squeeze top performance out of the minimal voltage.

HW Monitor (http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php) -- To check your temps
Orthos (http://maxpctech.blogspot.com/2007/04/orthos-is-program-used-to-check.html) -- Stress testing.
RM Clock (http://cpu.rightmark.org/download.shtml) -- Setting your frequencies.

NOTE: If you're on x64 you're going to need RTCore64.sys.

Take your time with the stress tests. If you blue screen take it back two steps. I saw almost 10*c difference in max load temps from before and after which is insane.

This may also interest anyone looking to throttle their EVGA GPU: http://www.evga.com/precision/

EDIT: Here's a good tutorial (http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=2637648#post2637648) for the above software.

I can not for whatever reason, get RMClock to work with my Vista Ultimate X64.
Any suggestions?
