This is the subject of my first case mod and first mod project. The case is a SuperMicro SC830 that I picked up at the local recycle center for $10. I added the window yesterday, I am using window spline for the c-channel until I purchase some purpose made c-channel. I am planning on painting the case and adding casters within the next month. I will also be replacing the ancient hardware with something more modern. Any comments or ideas are welcome.

Nice case - lots of options with that one - not quite as large as the Lian Li I have but having spent what I did on it, I'm terrified of going anywhere near it with a power tool lol

Looks interesting; lots of potential in that case. Can we get some pics of the interior?

Haha, yeah, I had the same problem with my Antec P180 when I had it.

I still have that problem - the Antec P180, and the Lian-Li 343 - both utterly stock as yet

That is the nice thing about picking up used cases from the recycle center. Since I only have $10 to $15 in each case, there are no worries about hacking into them. I have another file server chassis (Enlight 8960) here that I may mod later on. That is also the reason that I'm not going to window mod the top of the chassis, since I may decide to stack them if the Enlight ever needs to come out of the rack.

If anyone has any SuperMicro drive rails send me a PM.
