I'll be doing two mods at once. The Cardinals SFF will be more long term, while this will be quick and easy.
This is going to be a simple mod for a friend who loved my Cuda 440 case and wanted something similiar for himself. The car I'm using as a reference is the Mustang GT350 Hertz Edition:
Black with Gold stripes

And here's the case I'm using:

The case came

So I took the door off because I don't like it.
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040101.jpg
I taped it off right away
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040105.jpg
And painted the inside flat black

The gold stripes are next.

I measured out the top exhaust

http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040113.jpg
Then comes the hood pins
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040117.jpg
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040118.jpg
And I decided to paint the drive bays
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040119.jpg

I put the bays back in
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040121.jpg
And then taped off the lines I need to paint
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040124.jpg
And did it in place
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040125.jpg
This is what it will look like when I'm done
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040126.jpg
I removed the tape. The far right is NOT messed up; that's the sticky stuff from the tape
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040129.jpg
The letters were $3
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040128.jpg
I put them on from right to left to make it line up just right
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040130.jpg
I still have the middle stripe to paint and then I'll repeat the whole process on the other side

I think it looks terrible. I'm probably just going to buy pinstping that you use on an actual car

I cut out the top exhaust
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040135.jpg
Then drilled the holes for the hood pins
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040131.jpg
Then cut the pins
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040132.jpg
And mixed up some JB Weld
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040133.jpg
And dropped the pins in
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040138.jpg
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040139.jpg
I decided to remove the pin striping. I'm going to use real pin striping that you buy for a car instead.
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040141.jpg
I added the black and gold pinstriping, but still need to get a 2 inch wide piece for the center

I'm going to be painting the front mesh gold:
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040121.jpg
And then adding a Mustang emblem on top of it

So I ordered an adhesive sheet of gold vinyl and here's how it came. It has a dozen frickin' creases in it!

Luckily I was able to get enough of an edge off to apply it to the panels

I cut the vinyl out into 1 1/2 inch wide strips.
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040163.jpg
As I applied the decal, I stretched it out to remove the creases

http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040165.jpg
The window has these venting lines that are just too stupid looking and has to go
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040167.jpg
The pannel does have a nice feature though. The window is connected to the panel with little tabs. Just lift the tabs and it comes right out.
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040168.jpg
Then I used the old window to trace out a new one
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040170.jpg
Once cut, all I had to do was recreate the holes for the tabs

I'm still waiting on the hood sccoop and front Mustang emblem to arrive

The Mustang emblem arrived. It's with my phone for a size comparison
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040179.jpg
Then I painted the front mesh gold to match everything else
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040182.jpg
And mounted the emblem

The hood scoop arrived.
http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/p1040189.jpg
So I added the stripes and I'm finished!
