Is it electric plating, or powder coating? (I think it's electric.. 'Ano')

And how hard would it be to set up home anodizing (Assuming I had access to the chemicals)? Do you need special dyes?

Thanks,
~OC

i know its not electroplating, and i dont think its powder coating, but i believe it is where the aluminum is heated and then a dye is used, but im not sure

I just did a quick google search and came up with a site about home anodizeing (how lucky is that?).

Here ya go:

Thank you for the link!

I'm not sure if that works on aluminum.. but it should be useful for something. I'm reading another site right now about just that.

I'm pretty sure aluminum works well with anodizing...

Oy.

I mean, the site that was linked to is general anodizing.. however, there are a bunch of other sites that specifically deal with aluminum anodizing and the chemicals.
