ok, this is my first post here, been looking around for a week or so just lurking...hey :)

Ok, i had an idea for the wiring comming out of the power supply and whatever

You know those old power cords from way back in the day like that had the fabric covering, i've always liked the look of that and thought it would be really neat to have that sort of deal covering the wires inside a computer, and maybe just a case with the whole feel of maybe a 40's radio or a jukebox from the 50's

I got a radio like that one that i wanted to make into a case, but there's some sentimental value to the thing and i wouldn't want to destroy it, nor would my mother :P

I've seen computers in all sorts of antique radios, and one or two in replicas of jukeboxes. Always cool to see one of those executed just right.
These two come to mind:

The oldschool cable idea is interesting- I'd love to see a '50s-styled case with fabric-covered wiring going to and fro. Though I think it would be tough to work a window into it that compliments the design, since for the most part design in that era was all about keeping as much of the operation hidden as possible.

If you put a window in though, you could find some vacuum tubes and other such electrical bits to steal attention from the computer parts.
