Some of you guys saw mention of this in the Ken Block video, so I thought I would share details for those who can not make it. :( . I leave in 1/2 hour to go see the race and the cars before hand. We will be watching the Berlin, NH legs, but might head up around noon for the last set as well. I will post plenty of pics when I can. Hopefully it doesn't rain, as the ground is quite wet and it looks like it may continue.

Ken Block / Gelsomino won stage 5 yesterday, with Pastrana/Edstrom in 3rd 16 seconds behind. Overall, last I checked Pastrana was in first, but the times were tight. A matter of seconds between the first 5+ places.
Pictures inbound when I can. Heading out soon.

Here is a teaser shot. All unedited as usual. The in action pics were taken with my EF 75-300 4-5.6, no IS so was a bit more tough to get some good pics but I've got some, I think lol. I wanted to get closer pics as we were quite far away.
Not the best pic, but about the most carnage the day saw. :D

My little brother took some vids with his little p+s camera. He's stitching together a quick movie in Vegas now. When he gets it done and uploaded I will link to it.
Going through 850+ pics is quite an endeavor lol. I love the white Subie pic above though. That is probably the one I will enter into rally-america's photo contest, unless I find one I like better.
Nice shots! Looks like that almost went completely wrong.
Did it rain?

Thanks, ya it almost did. The front end smashed the ground pretty hard after they hit the turn too wide and hit the mound that was their. They kept it going though.
It didn't rain during the event. It had the night before and it was very dark and gloomy and looked like it was going to downpour, but luckily it didn't. It cleared up as the day went on, and got quite hot.

A couple quick vids my brother threw together. Part 1 (the second one) is just the parade lap they did, with Pastrana/Block/L'Estage/Mirra and a few others going at the end. Part 2 (1st below) has more meat too it.
We only got to see the first stage as my other brother had an emergency that needed to be dealt with so I had to take him and missed the rest of the day. (Not medical, just something that was urgent to be done).

Nice! I almost wish I had bought the WRX I was looking at when I had bought the SRT. Two of my buddies had WRX's so I went with the SRT as at that time, no one had one. Looking back all these years an all-wheel drive vehicle might have served me a little bit better, at least through NE winters, hehe.

I like some of the ones that take place in Finland. Man those guys know how to drive! Crazy stuff. Plus Finland looks JUST LIKE IDAHO, which is where I live so its kind of cool. :p

yeah, Idaho winters aren't very forgiving, having AWD is a major plus here. lol I get stuck at least once or twice a year in my 95 saturn. front wheel manual + about 3 inches of clearance = lots of time getting pulled out by trucks. lol

Vehicles without AWD usually get put away for winters here in Idaho, and for good reason. lol
Although FWD or RWD can be fun during winter sometimes... :P
