I was on a plane when a passenger refused to check his guitar, even planeside. Eventually they switched his seat so it could be next to him throughout the trip. I thought it was very smart of him, although really you should just get a case that is going to be able to be thrown. You know you are flying. You know it is too big to be carry on. And there is a reason you call baggage handlers 'throwers'. They aren't a shipping service so don't expect the insurance. I pay too much for airfare as it is.

HA! Take that you stupid "too bad, so sad" corporations! This is exactly why you never screw around with a musician, because they might just make an awesome and catchy tune/video out of it, and in the end, you would of been a thousand times better off by just fixing the poor mans guitar.

I'm not even in the least bit surprised though. They go through so much luggage every day that I think they become desensitized to what they're handling, and so thus they forget to handle other people's **** with care. Not that thats an excuse or anything, just saying, its easy to believe.

Maybe they'll fix his guitar now, jerks. A nice gift basket should also be in consideration. Everyone likes a good gift basket. :)
