So I've got this laptop screen...

its from like, 1990. but i want to try my hardest and make it work. i know i need to find a kit or controller for it to run using vga or whatever other sort of video input i can use. the problem is, i can find anything like that. i was hoping that you guys could help me out. its a samsung LT104V3-104, but i think it has the same pin outs as the 101/102/103. any information about this screen would be very helpful

You are correct in needing a controller to convert VGA to LVDS, unfortunately I have looked for a similar solution and came up with the controller costs more then a brand new 15" LCD monitor that is ready to go.. :(

EarthLCD usually has them. However Ovride is right when he says it's too expensive. You're honestly better off eBay-ing a smaller one (one already VGA capable) and modding it into your project. I did that with a 5.6", 6.5" and 8" touch. MUCH cheaper.
