Essentially he took the MyVu headset, removed one of the eye pieces, and mounted the other to his glasses to that he could see his surroundings and the UX’s screen at the same time. The MyVu is attached to the UX through the A/V output port on the UX’s port replicator dongle.

That's pretty awesome. I wonder when they'll have stuff similar like the for consumer purchase.

How much strain does that put on your eye?

I don't know. I would question the stress to the one eye. According to the things I have read it takes a certain amount of intelligence to understand, and operate a device such as this, especially in mobile environments. Similar to the bag, a series of stress tests designed to screen potential airforce pilots.
