Also, if I win the CG contest, I'm soooo going to ask for a Stainless Steel Tardis! or maybe a Dalek? Or perhaps the doctor himself as played by David Tennant...

Yea no kidding. lol
If the regular machines cost quite a bit... this thing has to be worth a small fortune. Maybe we can borrow some $$$ from china? Seems like the cool thing to do lately. lol
"Timmy, what did you learn from your country?"
"That instead of letting companies fail naturally, you can bail them out with money you borrowed form china. Why solve a problem now when you can make a larger problem later?"
"Well Timmy, you just earned yourself an A+!" -This grade brought to you by the US Government. Live the American dream! Never be accountable for anything! -This message brought to you by China. We own your asses, now pay up or we'll invade.
ANYWAYS... Don't forget to enter the competition! All you have to do is leave a comment and you may just win!

Thats a little above my skill set. I will stick with ABS and HDPE plastic.

Please lets not derail this thread with political bickering. I will delete any threads from here on out that cross the line.

Look this site is owned by Paul, its his site. He makes the rules and they have to be followed. Sites that allow political discussion are out there, use them for that. Use TBCS for computer related talk.

Stupid rule. But I'll abide by it. Politics are important, but arguing it won't get anyone anywhere so its kind of pointless to even try.
Oh well. Disregard that last message everyone. You still don't have to worry about derailing any of my threads, it doesn't bother me, I actually know what fresh air is. Just keep politics and anything else that might potentially be unpleasant out of it. Just makes it easier for everyone I guess.
Back on topic: As far as the contest on CG goes, if you win, you can actually design your own piece if you want! Likewise, you can go to the website and upload your own design and, from what I understand, they'll make it for you. I don't know how much it will cost you though, probably differs piece by piece. But for example, that devil minion dude only costs $20. So its really not that bad it seems! You can also select quite a few different materials, although its all mumbo jumbo to me...
I wonder if they do 3D Fan Grills or other modding type supplies?;)

The $20 minion isn't made of stainless steel, it's made of their special blend of plastics.
The moebious thing in the video (which is badass) is $288.40 Excl. VAT. They are in Europe so you may have to pay a good amount for shipping.

Great Find! Really Cool. +Rep
Could be extremely useful for decorative items, and parts.
However, I would question the use of this material in moving parts such as a gear box.
The parts are created from thin layer of stainless steel powder.
Would be interesting to see a stress test or something.
