Reached Eagle Scout on Wednesday. I can't believe I pulled together the project, letters of recommendation, paperwork, and preparation within a week. :freakedout:

Anyway, here's some pictures of my Eagle Scout project. Worked on two picnic tables and a bench for an elementary school. Built the bench on my own design, and got the picnic tables on a basic plan I found on the Internet.

Sorry for the terrible quality. Cell phone camera, ftl.

Anthony working on the picnic table. The jigsaw was terribly slow @_@

The little area I set up in the garage.

Sanded all the sharp edges knowing little kids. :) Treated all the wood with water seal, then smoothed it down and cleaned it up with a little olive oil to keep the wood from splintering up.

It was all fun, and the principal was a nice guy. I liked the way things turned out.

Thanks. :)

I'll upload more photos that look better (took them with the real camera) in a while.

Very cool, and great job! I wish I could have continued on with Scouts. My pack disbanded a week before I was to complete the Arrow of Light ceremony.

Congratulations! I'm a fellow Eagle Scout. Glad you made it, definitely a lot of hard work. People see the project and think thats it but the write ups before and after the project are as much if not more work.

I am also an Eagle Scout. welcome brother. :) My Eagle PRoject was WAAAAY to complicated for a project. def. bit off more than I could chew. thank god for my dad, he carried me basically.

we decided it would be a good idea, to tear down a water pump house for the local cemetery and put up a newer, bigger shed with a garage door, etc. yeah. waaay too big. but it was a lot of fun! and I learned a lot about framing, aluminum siding, etc.

Congratulations man. I too am an eagle scout. Like said above most people only see the project but unless you've done it you don't know about all the paper work and what not.

My project took almost 5 months to complete, got about 1200hrs of total labor with all volunteers and all, not including all the hours of planning and what not.

Once again congratulations. Remember, you're Eagle for life.

I was in the Cub Scouts for a few months. My "pack" sucked. The leaders were pansies and allowed their daughters to come along on hiking trips and other events. I got pissed and left the scouts.

Yeah. Cub scouts kinda sucked. Boy scouts made up for it though. :)

I never made Eagle, my health became too bad. I was just getting diagnosed with arthritis then...

Congratulations, excellent work!
