I got into the new NXE beta a few days ago, have been having fun playing with the new netflix features and stuff since then.

So I brought my hard drive up to work today and hooked it up to my buddy's Xbox to show him the Mirror's Edge DLC. After about an hour we swap the hard drive back to his, but when we turned the console on it wanted to update, so we let it. Upon booting to his Xbox hard drive after the update we were surprised to see that he too now had the NXE beta. Everything was there, except the netflix, that didn't update for some reason.

I find this quite weird, he has never signed up for the beta, and the update isn't until Tuesday. So I'm guessing sticking my hard drive in there transfered the update to his Xbox and it won't go away. So he got the update, just not the best part(netflix), kind of like herpes huh?

Wow, I never read those things. Guess I should have in this case.

Luckily he can get online, just didn't get the new netflix update.

Always read the beta test agreements. Some even bar you from even speaking online or to media about the beta test. I got kicked out of a beta test a few years back for talking about it on a message board.
