A while ago I was blessed enough to receive a copy of Trackmania Sunrise as a Christmas Gift from my older brother. Many, many many moons ago, we would make tracks on an OLD PC game called "STUNTS", which allowed you to make primitive (by today's standards) 3D obstacle courses, which we would race and try to beat each other's times, or create fanastic wrecks or seemingly impossible courses. Trackmania Sunrise let us do that same thing, with MUCH better graphics and course options, and we could send the tracks back and forth to each other, as the files were only a few kb total.

Well, Nadeo, the makers of this fine and under-rated racing game, has just released a FREE version of their game, with updated graphics and course options, called Trackmania Nations (http://www.trackmanianations.com/indexUk.php). It allows online play, tons of build-your-own-course options and tons of other stuff. There is a Ranking Ladder, which is not currently working but should be up soon, and all sorts of other goodies.

If you like good arcade-y racing games with insane stunts and beautiful graphics, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It's worth every penny.

Take a look.

If you do check it out and build a track or two, post a link to it here! I'd love to play on some tracks that my fellow modders have made. Maybe we can get a circuit going!
