looks good, I want to see it also
I saw the movie the other day and thought it was pretty good. It's a basic alien story but the way it was filmed made it much more interesting. Definently worth seeing.

I agree it is definitely worth seeing. The setting took place 20 years after they landed, which puts a much better story line on the movie.

I cant believe they filmed the whole thing with a budget of 30 mil.

Looks like all of the movies Neill Blomkamp directed are rated 8+ then the one he writes is over 9.

This movie was directed in an amazing fashion. They managed to pull together the exposition into a not-boring-dialogue-between-two-characters way. CGI was top-notch, plot had good twists and surprises, and the action wasn't the center of attention *cough*Transformers*cough*.
I want to see it again.

From the pictures I saw, that massive ship looks like Howl's Moving Castle.
Movie looks pretty cool, hopefully I'll see it soon.

Insanely awesome movie. With an ending like that, there better be a 2nd. I hadn't seen any previews or read what it was about so I was in for a surprise. 9.5 in my book. .5 off because I got frustrated at the end. :oP
Zephik, +rep for bringing the movie to my attention. I don't watch tv and haven't seen an ad for it online so I wouldn't have heard about it for a while if it wasn't for you. lol

I am glad to hear that it is a pretty good movie. The trailers, to me anyway, made it seem like a pretty generic alien movie. Nice to see that it turned out pretty good.

I FINALLY SAW DISTRICT 9! Holy cow that movie was freaking amazing. Towards the end I started thinking, alright, what are they going to call the 2nd movie if they do make one? District 10? Nah, that doesn't make sense. AND THEN BAM. The new area is called District 10.
I cannot wait until District 10 comes out! And it better be in the making, because I don't go for that whole poetic ending never to be seen again BS. lol
The entire District 9 movie is basically a perfect setup for District 10. Its sort of like a prequel. It had a very documentary feel about it, the 2nd movie could be the same, or they could do the whole "and now back to current day" thing.
