Truss case

Ok I'm thinking of building a case like this: http://www.cheaplights.com/cart/page113.html. It's to expensive to buy so what could I build it of? 18 inches x 18 inches x 9 feet (3 ft sections for ease of movement). This will prob have 4 to 6 pc's and two 360s. Also on those they have led setups that go through the rainbow but it blends it's not like a solid color change. How would I do that?

I think those are the LEDs they used how to make them change colour, how they make them do that I do not know, need further googling ;p
